SIP trunk deployment worksheet
Build a starting checklist for one SIP trunk. Choose the closest answer; you do not need to enter phone numbers, addresses, IP addresses or credentials. This tool does not contact the provider, and your answers stay in this browser tab.
What to verify during the test
Test incoming and outgoing calls, approved caller ID, number formatting, hold, transfer, voicemail, audio in both directions, busy and unanswered calls, failover and recovery. Follow the provider-approved method for emergency-call testing; do not place an unarranged live emergency call.
Use the result
- Fix before cutover shows gaps that can stop calls, expose the service or leave users without a clear recovery path.
- Confirm next shows details to get from the provider, network team or phone-system owner.
- Ready for a controlled test means the worksheet has no obvious gaps. It does not prove that the trunk works.
Save the final provider settings, owners, test evidence and rollback decision in your normal change record. Do not store passwords or private keys in that record.
Test safely
Test incoming and outgoing calls, caller ID, number formatting, hold, transfer, voicemail, two-way audio, busy and unanswered calls, failover and recovery. Agree on success criteria before the test.
Emergency calling needs special care. Confirm the registered location and the provider-approved test method. Do not place an unarranged live emergency call.
